We are very excited to have launched the inaugural Sony Music Podcast Academy 2025.

Sony Music Podcast Academy is a six-week experiential programme for emerging content creators aged 18-30, London based, seeking to break into podcasting and bring new voices and perspectives to the digital storytelling space.

​

Over the course of the programme our brilliant cohort of 12  have taken part in workshops, interactive talks and masterclasses from the in-house Sony Music Podcast Team as well as from valued industry friends and collaborators.

10 Minute Pilot Podcast Commissions: In 3 teams, the cohort were also commissioned by Sony Music Podcasts to come up with fully visualised pilots for an original podcast format around the Sony theme ‘Entertainment First’. These Podcasts were showcased to an industry panel of experts as part of the graduation and celebration for the group.

Participants were all assigned Sony Music Podcast Mentors, shadowed across a range of podcasts on the Sony slate. Two six-month internships were made available exclusively to the group which successful candidates will take up in 2026.
